Express the very best of what it means to be human.

Island Pacific School focuses exclusively on meeting the educational needs of adolescents in Grades 6-9. Our enriched program fosters critical inquiry, community engagement and leadership. We are located in a purpose-built campus surrounded by forest in the safe community of Bowen Island.

With small-by-design classes of 18 and a total school maximum population of 72, our teachers are able to make a direct connection with every one of our students; we enjoy getting to know every student so that we can discover how best to motivate and inspire them. Our teachers are middle school experts working in a close-knit team and a collaborative, innovative environment. They all expand their practice beyond the school's walls by taking advantage of nearby forest trails, the wider community and local organizations.

Core programming includes inquiry and project-based learning; classes in reasoning, philosophy and ethics; outdoor challenges; city excursions; Grade 9 Masterworks (where students publicly defend an independent research project); monthly community service activities; a musical; and cross-grade stewardship that includes mentoring and cleaning the school.

We are the smallest member of both ISABC and CAIS, yet we continue to meet the same rigorous standards as the larger schools. Discover Us!
