Where your information is stored:

CAIS Careers runs on JBoard, which hosts the job board, including résumés, on Amazon Web Services in California (encrypted in transit and at rest) and uses providers in France and Armenia. JBoard may also use site data for its own purposes to improve its software, including after its contract ends, and may disclose it only in aggregate or de-identified form. See jboard.io/terms and jboard.io/docs/dpa. CAIS remains responsible for information JBoard handles for CAIS.

5. Your Choices

You can update your profile in account settings, or ask privacy@cais.ca to access, correct or delete your information or withdraw consent; we will explain any legal limits. We keep information only as long as needed. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Who can see your profile:

Optional. If you tick 'Available for work', member schools and employers who pay for résumé access can see your profile and download your résumé. Untick it under My Profile to stop; this won't recall résumés already downloaded.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Platform is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately, and we will take appropriate steps to remove the information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The "Effective Date" at the top will indicate the latest version of the policy. Please review this Privacy Policy periodically for any updates. We will ask for fresh consent before any new use of your personal information that requires it.

8. Contact Us

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us at privacy@cais.ca.
