About Us
Established in 1966, Lycée international de Calgary (formerly Lycée Louis Pasteur) is Calgary's premier French school! Lycée international de Calgary welcomes children 3 years old to Grade 12. We are the only school in Calgary to teach the French Ministry of Education and Alberta Education curricula, offering students a unique education. Families from all linguistic backgrounds are welcome to attend Lycée international de Calgary. No prior French exposure is needed to enroll in our Maternelle Program (3, 4 and 5 year olds). Classes are taught by a certified teacher and an assistant. Our French Language Immersive Program (FLIP) allows us to welcome new students Grades 1 to 3 with no prior French and includes individualized learning plans and significant one-on-one time with a dedicated teacher. The French curriculum is taught in French by French speakers and the Alberta curriculum is taught in English by English speakers and produces academically-adept students who are truly bilingual. English is taught starting in Preschool. Spanish is taught beginning in Grade 6. Upon graduation, Lycée students receive their High School diploma and the Baccalaureat (Grade 12), a diploma recognized for university entrance throughout the world. Lycée international de Calgary is a member of a prestigious network of 535 schools in 140 countries. We are the only school in Calgary to be a member of this global network.
