POSITION: Manager of External Relations

DESCRIPTION:

Matthews Hall is currently seeking a Manager of External Relations to join our team. The ideal candidate has professional experience with Advancement, Admissions and Events at an independent school. Experience with donor research, data collection and management, and the effective use of data, along with admissions management, planning, marketing, and communications, will be considered an asset. A record of integrity, collaboration, teamwork and professionalism, as well as evidence of an excellent rapport with children and parents, will be important considerations when filling this vacancy.

The primary focus of this role is to support the development and then management of an integrated approach towards key external stakeholder groups: prospective parents, current parents, alumni, donors and the wider community. You will be working closely with the Head and Assistant Head of School.

Duties include:

Advancement

Data Management using Raiser’s Edge

Fundraising - coordinate and conduct research and outreach initiatives, gift acknowledgement & stewardship

Ongoing receipting for all gifts

Audit, Donor and Enrolment reports

Advancement Committee – attend meetings and minute

Ambassadors – coordinate the school and class ambassador program

Alumni research and database updates, and correspondence

Admissions

Support families through the admissions process

Manage inquiries

Maintain up to date data on the admissions process from inquiry to enrolment

Plan and Co-ordinate Open Houses

Onboarding new students

Event Management and Support

Annual Fundraising Gala – Manage, attend and participate in 10 meetings and ongoing work

New Parent Reception – Manage and attend

Manage, attend and participate in meetings and ongoing work in support of:

WinterFest
Alumni Night at Boler
Coffee with the Head of School
Founder's Day
Graduation
Grand Day
Grade 9 Yearbook Signing Day
