About Us
Established in 2001, Urban Academy was born out of a desire to educate students from JK to Grade 12 in ways that allow them to be engaged, motivated and excited about learning.
Our approach helps each student make a deeper connection to their learning. We do this by integrating classroom learning with experiential, real life experiences including field study, technology, the arts and outdoor education. By allowing students to make connections, their learning is deeper and broader resulting in high academic achievement.
Urban Academy also focuses on the growth of the child in their entirety, which changes for each developmental age and stage. Our commitment to academic excellence is enhanced by our focus on social, emotional learning and equipping each child to be strong in character, and a successful contributor to the world.
